WHAT IS A SATURN RETURN?
 
Saturn returns happen every 27 - 29 years and can occur around our late 20s, late 50s, and late 80s (if we're lucky). A Saturn return is similar to a midlife or identity crisis.
 
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
 
Since Saturn represents structure, rules, time, and fears, when Saturn returns to the same spot as it was when you were born, these themes are reconstructed. For approximately 2.5 - 3 years, we start to question all the structure that led us to where we are today. We are faced with major fears and are challenged to overcome them. And finally, we're encouraged to break the rules of the last 30 years and redefine them.
 
Saturn returns are most important because they are about challenging the status quo or the "enforcers" of the previous 30 years. For example, in the first Saturn return, this might involve challenging the religion you grew up with or setting boundaries with parents.
